preparation-and-acceleration:

When you’re in a season of waiting, it’s never just a season of waiting. It’s a season of preparation, self-improvement, giving, and, as always, sanctification.

Waiting is not passive. It’s active. Be prepared for what you are praying for. You might not know when, but when He speaks, it happens fast. Be ready for it.

It’s been 5 years since I wrote this.

And I’ve learned a few more things about my Father.

He’s gentle, and so kind.

A season may be waiting season for us for something, but He often does not use the same word, if we don’t see things they way He does.

And let’s be honest, we don’t. His ways are always higher.

Lean into the Lord and abide in any and all seasons. There’s something deeper. There’s always something deeper. A waiting season means an active one in learning about the Lord. Your Heavenly Father. Who is so excited and happy and delighted that you want to get to know him and be with him and spend time with Him.

You may never feel ready for what He has for you. That’s not the point. The point is trust in the Lord. And maybe that’s the lesson He wants you to learn. We are all there.

But trust me. Whatever you’re waiting for, is never better than this exact journey He’s taking you on, if you would surrender that and walk with Him and say, “Jesus, you know my heart. Let’s spend some time together.” And do this daily.

And when that day happens, He will yet take you on another journey. Then, you’ll find new joy walking with the Lord. And that beauty will only get more and more beautiful.

God bless 🙌

hey yall, it’s been a while 🙂 hope you have been doing well, and your family has been doing well too.

I’m thinking about starting a new tumblr, more likely doing more Christian content and sharing the goodness of our Father, and if you are interested in following that one I can set one up 🙂

Praying for you all 😊🙏

Hey guys

So a few of you guys know I’m taking a break from tumblr. It’s been a few weeks now and honestly I think it’s been good for me overall. I have started a different blog at my blogger which is at this time mostly sermon notes. Feel free to check it out :)

I don’t think I’ll really come back to tumblr very much, if at all. But feel free to reach out if you need prayers or have questions you think I can help answer.

I hope you are all doing well. God bless! Stay healthy!

This has been on my mind lately.

One of my coworkers the other day was talking about someone being a Christian, grew up Christian, and being generally a nice person.

And have we settled for just “nice people” as some people see us? That’s not even mostly accurate as a lot of “Christians” are not very Christ-like.

How are we different than just “nice people?” Are Christ followers, are His disciples, just “nice people”?

Let us do better, we are called to be the light and salt of the world, and that is so, so much more than just “being nice.” Let us live a life that someone will see and go, “there’s….no way they did that by themselves. They’re no way they’re this joyful with all that happening. What is that they have?”
